Chapter 1 Finale: The End of CalamityYear of the Voyage (1398 DR), Uktar (The Rotting)On an interestingly rare event, the whole members of Silver Saints met one another, and they exchanges informations. After discussing, they decided they need to go to Elturel and check the settlement, while trying to capture an Orc alive. Captain Silversnow arrived just in time to offer a ride using her ship to go to Elturel. By the time they arrived, Elturel was already in ruins, with many hobgoblins carcasses. There were no humans around, despite some traces of human enslavements by the hobgoblins. Silver Saints then went to investigate the nearby stronghold, while Captain Silversnow and her crews remained at the Elturel for search and evacuations. The stronghold is surrounded by blighted forest and destroyed, flattened-out buildings and farmlands. The river nearby was also heavily polluted, seemed blackened with acid and poison. As there was no doors, Chin uses his power to manipulate the earth and made a 'door' into the stronghold. Inside the stronghold Silver Saints fought with many Specters, before finally encountered a wraith and a banshee, who resembles Grand Duke Eltan and one of his follower. Silver Saints defeated the undeads, and then learnt the real fate of Grand Duke Eltan. After having a rest, the Silver Saints spotted that the corrupted river was still there, so they decided to investigate it further. Using the blueprint of the stronghold, they progressed to the underground basement. There, they encountered a black dragon's lair, and fought the dragon. Once the dragon was defeated, the surroundings were starting to change. Upon returning to Captain Silversnow, she insisted she want to see the stronghold. She also inquired about the enemies the Silver Saints have encountered. After several inquiries, she then offered to help the Silver Saints to claim the stronghold, as a new base that will act as safe area and hub for the Flaming Fist mercenary, the Purple Dragons of Cormyr (if they come), and the refugees from around Baldur's Gate. Also, secretly, to investigate further on the mastermind behind all of the troubles, as well as the rising-in-fame Gold Wings Travelers. Silver Saints accepted, and started to work on planning things. ---- Off Screen ---- Ophelia of the Flaming Fists finally learnt about the fate of her father, and openly claimed the leadership. She also agreed on granting the stronghold to the Silver Saints, upon condition that it should be used to help Flaming Fists activities in maintaining law and order on the region, especially in fighting against the remnants of Hobgoblin Raiders. Captain Silversnow provided a river boat to ferry goods and passengers between Baldur's Gate and the stronghold. Temple of Torm gladly supported Silver Saints' claim, and requested permission to establish a small temple branch in the stronghold, that will also houses their traveling Paladins, Clerics, and Priests. The Unseen Hands
The small room was lit dimly, and the black haired lady was cleaning a rod diligently. After removing the dirts and muds, the intricate rod started to glitter under the lamp light. Satisfied with her work, she put the rod at the side of her collections, and seemed to admire them for a moment before closing the case. And she was a bit startled when she saw a figure who was not there before, sit on a chair in front of her.
"Your-- uh, collection?" asked the figure.
"Well sort of. When did you come?" the lady stowed the case into a bunk.
"I think-- one hour ago? I was admiring your diligence in cleaning the-- uh, rod?"
"You could have ask me immediately. I am sorry for wasting your precious time," answered the lady while sitting on her bed, "so what is it?"
"Ha, I don't have the heart to disturb your hobby. Anyways," he puffed a smoke out of his pipe, "about 'them'."
"I have 'put' some people on watch, and they should do fine to watch 'them'."
"Back to using -or, manipulating- adventurers, eh?"
"I learnt from the best, right?" she answered laughingly to the figure, "but I hope they should be fine. Up until now they showed promising progresses, and I am quite optimist they can learn more about 'them'."
"Glad to hear that."
There was a silent in the room.
"So who was it?" asked the lady, breaking the silence.
The man in robe just shrugged, and put his pipe on his mouth, "Not the ones that I know of yet, despite the method is similar with 'that snobbish basterd'. But my young uns had not provide more information yet."
She sighed, "Why don't you just storm 'him' and ask or do something other than waiting for your slow 'young uns' to do their work?"
"Why didn't you just storm *him*, and asked or did something, other than waiting for your 'group' to did the work? Same reasons."
"Hum. Fair enough," she answered after awhile, and drop her body to the bed and looking to the ceiling, "though you have not answered me on why you keep on visiting me."
"--Further, I only visit the not-so-young ones, remember?"
"Huh. Hey wait, what do you mean by that?" she raised and stood up in protest.
But the robed figure was not there anymore.

The Preparations
Kayla visited Ophelia and informed her about the fate of Duke Eltan, along with Silver Saints' plans. Ophelia lend two battle groups of Flaming Fists to be used and stationed at Eltur Guard, and replacements will be send every several tendays.
Sera prepared to move the refugees using ships, and also procured basic equipments for the refugees to rebuild a small hamlet capable of supporting their own. Sera also bought a stash of cheap-but-edible provisions for the mean time, with cattle for ranching, so that the refugees have provisions until the end of winter.
Silver Saints are preparing to march from Baldur's Gate to Eltur Guard using land road, and dealing with the hobgoblins and bandits along the road. Due to time constraints, and since the hobgoblins have secured strategic positions for their style of raids, Ophelia pointed out that focusing on the road only would be feasible at the time being.
Bruno left a message to Pwent through Stonecrusher, about Silver Saints activities in Eltur Guard and invitation to join the cause.
-- will be added, please use downtime activities to state if anyone want to do any other preparations --
Chapter 2 will start by fast forwarding events, and start at the time when Silver Saints already moved to Castle Eltur Guard.

Chapter 2: The ChaseYear of the Voyage (1398 DR), final daysEltur Guard finally established by the Silver Saints to act as the outpost in the dangerous wilderness, between Cormyr and the city of Baldur's Gate. Refugees who previously stacked mercilessly in the city of the Baldur's Gate have moved to the new frontier, to the relief of everyone. The city of Baldur's Gate maintained its stance in not sparing resources for the region, but Flaming Fists mercenary decided to lend a support to Silver Saints in clearing the road between the city and Eltur Guard. With the refugees are no longer inside the city, the strains of the city's economy decreased, and the internal chaos have been prevented. Clearing the road was also considered as a holy quest by several paladins, thus the temple of Torm and temple of Tyr also send several of their faithful servants in the offensive. However it became apparent, the Hobgoblins have already taken the strategic points for quite a long time ago; places that can scout a vast area, highly defensive, and good for swift raids and retreat. It was still considered lucky that these 'army' are not gathered under one banner, thus they lack coordination between camps. The refugees, along the stockpiles for Eltur Guard arrives sooner using the river trade cog with no threat whatsoever. They then started to prepare to rebuild a new community, a new hamlet, at the safe area near Eltur Guard. Unfortunately, hunting during this season is totally difficult, so most of the refugees are depending to the logistic support of Silver Saints. Meanwhile, the clearing of the road apparently also took a bit faster, especially starting on the middle. They can see there are already many villagers and hamlets, organized into a quite neat militias, and managed to destroy the enemy camps. Sometimes, they only leave mutilated hobgoblins on the camp. Back to the Eltur Guard, it was the time of winter, more or less. The stronghold erected a banner already. {Banner} And the chase to catch the real mastermind, the shadow behind all the problems, continues.

Winter has arrived, and the daily activities in Eltur Guard took shape. Everyone try to live properly and help each other. During the cold morning of early winter, a group of Flaming Fists stationed at Eltur Guard arrived in wounded conditions, telling a tale on some monsters. The Silver Saints then sent some of its members to go and defeat the monsters, in time before it reached a hamlet. This hamlet, The Sleepy Hallowed, was mysterious. They knew about Truesilver and bowed immediately in front of Kayla. And Sera found out that the War Wizards of Cormyr put a kind of expensive protection on this village, which starting to flickering out. Kayla tried to persuade the villagers to move, but they did not want to move. At That Outpost Year of the Voyage (1398 DR), Nightfal (The Drawing Down)
Few days after Sleepy Hallowed hamlet opened their door to Silver Saints, a trade cog bringing goods from Baldur's Gate arrived to Eltur Guard. At the same time, the replacement groups for Flaming Fists mercenary also arrived, bringing a newer map showing the perimeter of Eltur Guard, detailed with the known hamlets and Hobgoblin camps. The Silver Saints decided to eliminate the closest outposts first, and they managed to clear them without too much difficulties.
At the outpost after Silver Saints freed the slaves of Hobgoblins, they encountered a Gold Wings Traveler who led a group of villagers. An uncertain situation arise, and the traveler left the scene while the villagers seemed to be confused. Silver Saints then escorted the villagers back to their hamlet, and the villagers were at the brink of explaining recent events, before something happened and then scared the villagers. Silver Saints feared that more troubles would befallen to the villagers left the hamlet, promising to put a patrol to the hamlet as well.
On their way back, Silver Saints met a villager who followed them from the hamlet. She told everything she knew to the Silver Saints regarding recent events, and about the pact sealed with blood.

Another Outpost Year of the Fallen Friends (1399 DR), Hammer (Deepwinter)
Eltur's Guard started to be an independent community, with houses for the villagers are being built, the docks are being repaired, and the patrols around the perimeters have been intensified. On a normal morning, one of the patrol reported that they found a lair of Hobgoblin that might need to be taken care of. Due to the low capabilities of patrols for combat (they are for scouting mostly), the Silver Saints decided to deal with the outpost.
They were encountered with tough battles against elite Hobgoblins, but still Silver Saints proved to be more powerful. However, they noticed that something is slipping past right under their nose, but they just cannot tell what that was.
After the clearance, Silver Saints are considering to expand again the territory of patrol, but the limited manpower might bring lots of troubles. Especially, since the Paladins are starting to look across the wide river, where many undefended hamlets might be under attack by the Hobgoblins or Orcs.

Divine Utopia Year of the Fallen Friends (1399 DR), Hammer (Deepwinter)
Silver Saints continued to explore the southern region of river Chiontar. The patrol has been set up, and a small camp just at the previously Hydra camp has been established. After taking a good night rest there, Silver Saints continue south, where they cleared a forest full of spiders, and defeated a lair of Trolls. Roadrick with his flame magic helped the day.
Continuing their journey for almost two days crossing the steppe, since they saw several settlements far across the steppe, they reached a palisaded village called Divine Utopia. They learnt that this small village has adopted an orderly, but cruel and ruthless, way of life. They also learnt that the threats of hobgoblins and orcs are already non-existent in the area, and there are several human settlements who grew because of the law brought by the traveler. These human started to wage 'honorable and just' war one another, with the loser became the slave of the winner.
Upon returning, the Divine Utopia send an escort of four guards, who apparently had their own agenda: to claim the safe strategic point cleared by Silver Saints.

Forest Fire Year of Fallen Friends (1399 DR), Hammer (Deepwinter)
It all started with a peaceful morning, as usual. However suddenly an alarm erupted, and Silver Saints were informed about a forest fire at the nearby woods. The mercenary group then dispatched themselves and met with several menace burning the forest. At first they seemed to be a kind of destructive force, but after several encounters, another thoughts came into the Silver Saints, that they are just extraplanar beings who have different mindset. The Silver Saints also did not find any malicious summoning, just a kind of 'playful summoning' that went 'right'. At one part of the forest, the Silver Saints met with a large flaming entity who tried to pull all elementals back. The Silver Saints then showed a sincere hope to settle the problem peacefully, which the entity accepted.

The Hooded Travelers Year of Fallen Friends (1399 DR), Alturiak (The Claw of Winter)
Silver Saints got new 100 villagers, 36 of them went directly to militia under Helja. The others are divided into their capabilities, and helping to build Eltur Guard, focusing on the sawmill and outpost tower constructions. Then Silver Saints decided to check the points once again. On their way they met the group to set the camp at Troll Point, who reported about an established walled outpost already there, from the people of (presumably) Divine Utopia. When Silver Saints decided to press forwards, they encountered a group of hooded travelers who seemed to be following the Eltur Guard militia. A short dispute erupted, and the hooded travelers were apparently fiends. Silver Saints won the encounter, and none of the devils able to report back to their superior in the material world.

Silver Saints were informed about a situation near the village of Sleepy Hallowed. There seemed to be several monsters approaching, and already the village lose their cattle. Even without their leader, Silver Saints went to the place, with Vinan led the group. They encountered five burrowing monstrosities that can spit acid. After clearing the pests, Gully extracted acid materials from them, and the villagers are thankful to the Silver Saints.
Upon reaching Eltur Guard, the group met with Kayla and Bruno who just arrived from patrol, and also Incendie who was busy taking care of the stronghold and the patients. Accompanied by Pwent who caught a salmon and cooked the salmon, they shared stories especially about events about Divine Utopia and something sinister from far south.

Another Path to South Year of Fallen Friends (1399 DR), Alturiak (The Claw of Winter)
Helja returned from a patrol and proposed an idea on preparing the south route to Silver Saints: by taking a bit circling route avoiding the Divine Utopia and other settlements, and skimming around the perimeter of Wood of the Sharp Teeth. Silver Saints can also check the existence of the Travelers or the Hobgoblins around the area by doing so.
After greeting the new allies from Order of Purple Snowdrop, and trading and sealing a deal with a group of caravan from Iriaebor, the Silver Saints galloped on their horses and checked the forest. It was indeed a forest untouched by civilization yet, and the threats are natural beasts and monstrosities. Silver Saints cleared one area to be used as the first outpost, the Ape camp, which located on a parallel with the Hydra Camp.

There they met a pair of Green Dragons who decimated many of Silversnow's crews, and also a hoard of treasures.
Upon returning, Sil's condition is not getting any better, and she decided to bid farewell to the others.
