The villagers of Eltur Guard were famished, but now they seemed to be getting better; they also are hardworkers, most of them. There are only around 30 people working on building infrastructures, and there are around 20 who are actively preparing the farm and manure from livestock's den.

Kayla looked at the villagers clothing, to see whether they wore enough protection to guard against winter's cold.
She also wanted to make sure there were no ill villagers that currently doing menial tasks.

Kayla spotted that many still need better clothings; they still relied on their previous rags and blankets. However, no one who is ill can be seen outside.

Remembered with what was told by Sir Frostbeard, Kayla approached the villagers who prepared the farm and menure.

The villagers bowed slightly to Kayla, before resuming their work.

Kayla approached a villager/group of villagers who looked not too busy with their works.
"How are the preparations so far?" she asked to one of them.

The villagers explained that, at this rate the houses and fields will be ready before winter ends; however they might need to rely hunting, on the eggs, on fishes, and on milk for food during spring time. That is why several people started to build one or two huts for fishermen across the river.

"I see. So far, is there any difficulties during the preparations?" Kayla asked again.

The villagers explained that recently many people caught cold and got ill, but with Ms. Incendie and Mira treating the villagers, and with poultry soup is on the menu every several days, everyone is getting better.

"I see..."
Kayla looked at the prepared farm. And then, she looked at the villagers again.
"I would like to ask for your opinion: is it possible that soil preparations for farming could continue to fails, even though there are people who always working on preparing it relentlessly?"
Shortly after she asked that question, Kayla realized something and immediately added her words.
"...and do not worry, it is not about your works here."

They replied that it really depends on the field and what preparations. Currently they are preparing the fences, breaking the snow, and prepare manures for spring. However they do not want to spend too much energy in plowing the land since it would be useless.
So yes, there is a possibility of failure.

"So, plowing the land would be useless. I see," she mumbled.
"Very well, you may continue your work. Keep up your good work," said Kayla to them.
She left them so they could continue on their farming preparations. Kayla then tried to approached the fishermen huts, if she could approach it.

Kayla walked until reaching the river, where a boatman offered her a ride to cross the river. Should Kayla accepted, the travel on the rowboat is a bit difficult due to the river currents, and that the river seemed to be very deep.
Across the river, Kayla found one completed hut and one under construction. There are also some fishing rods and nets being prepared, using makeshift materials. A bigger boat is being constructed too.

Kayla accepted the boatman's offer, and thanked him when they arrived at the other side of river.
After that, she was looking around to see how many villagers working in this side of river.

There are around 5 people only working at this spot, and the quality of the hut is not that good; as if this is just a side project.
