Since today the weather is fine, Kayla can more or less see what's happening there.
The villagers replied that using the boat would not be faster, but it can carry more people and cargo.

"Perhaps we will eventually need other method of 'signal' that does not only rely on sight..." Kayla mumbled.
She looked at the villagers again.
"Is there any other faster method to cross this kind of river?"

They looked at one another, but cannot give answer. With many resources, a bridge can be built, but it might take months of even years.
Using a bigger ship could work too. Also, magic will always work, it seems.

"Very well then, I will see what I can do about it."
Kayla looked at the Hydra Camp direction.
"...if there was a signal from the camp, notify the stronghold as soon as possible," she added.

They replied with confirmation, and will inform immediately if they see any signals.
One of them proposes to build small outpost tower nearby, but it will costs more woods.

"What would that imply to?" she asked the one who proposed the small outpost. "I mean, the more requirement of woods part."

They informed you that with current number of lumberjacks, with some of them already working to help the alchemist, the process gathering of wood is getting slower and might influence the whole constructions of buildings.

"I see. One implication after another, is it not?" Kayla held her chin and seemed to think for a while. "So, the lack of manpower not only affected militias, but also the whole preparations for Eltur's Guard as well..." she mumbled.
"This is quite complicated, as the outpost tower would be important, and so do Mr. Snapscrew's potions..." she mumbled again.
Kayla looked at the villagers. "How long the outpost tower construction would take?" asked her again to them.

If it is terribly needed, they can stop the fishery constructions and start working for the outpost. A simple but functional tower should be erected in less than five days.

Kayla went silent for a while, as she was trying to compare the numbers of finished and unfinished huts.
She was also trying to remember whether she ever saw any more buildings other than huts that being constructed around Eltur's Guard.

Aside the completed pens of livestocks, fences for farms, a completed bakery and mills, a completed lumberjack log house, reconstructions of docks and warehouses, half completed barn and granary, there are around five completed huts and around ten are still under construction.

"How simple is the tower you can build?" asked Kayla. "Can it use the fewest amount of woods, so it would not really affect the construction of other building?"
"Although, I also do not wish the tower would become too dangerous to be used..." she added.

The tower would be a simple treehouse with ladder.

"That sounds...not bad. Very well then, I would like you to begin the tower's construction immediately."

They replied with confirmation, and started to move the project from fishery to tower.
